About
Meet Thistle Hofvendahl, LCSW
they/them
Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a therapist, licensed clinical social worker, facilitator, and parent of two small children. I specialize in working with couples, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals struggling with the emotional impacts of the climate crisis.
I have a collaborative, affirming, and embodied approach to therapy. I believe that you are the expert on your own lived experience. As a therapist, my role is to support you as you deepen your relationship with yourself, reframe negative beliefs, and gather the tools you need to address the challenges you’re facing. Through our work together I will support your journey towards a more joyful, connected, and empowered life.
As a social worker, I pay attention to the systems and structures that impact your life outside of the therapy room. I believe that healing happens in community and I will refer you to resources outside of therapy to help address your needs.
I am a member of the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America and the International Center For Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
